Our History

A Legacy of Faith Since 1900

New Caldonia Baptist Church was founded in 1900 by a small group of faithful believers who envisioned a place where everyone could experience God's love and grace. What began as a humble gathering in a local school gymnasium has grown into a vibrant community of over 100 members.

Throughout our history, we have remained committed to the timeless truths of Scripture while actively engaging with our changing community. Our church has weathered challenges, celebrated victories, and continuously sought to be a reflection of Christ's love to all who walk through our doors.

Today, we continue the mission our founders began—leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, fostering genuine community, and serving our neighbors with compassion and humility.

What We Believe

As a Southern Baptist congregation, we hold to the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith as revealed in Scripture.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word, infallible in its authority and our ultimate guide for faith and practice.

Trinity

We believe in one God, existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternal, co-equal, and distinct.

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human, our Lord and Savior who will return again.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering us for service and producing His fruit in our lives.

Eternity

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people—those who have trusted Christ to eternal life, and those who have not to eternal judgment.

Pastor G.W. GoodAcre

Pastor Goodacre has served as our Senior Pastor since February 2026, following in the footsteps of many great leaders. He is passionate about preaching God's Word with clarity and relevance, and he leads our church with compassion, wisdom, and a heart for making disciples.
